So Thankful

We had such a wonderful first Thanksgiving with Henry yesterday. I don't think there are words to say just how thankful we are that he is a part of our family. We have been so very blessed this past year and have so much to thank God for. If you would have asked me at this time last year what this Thanksgiving would have been like, I probably would have said my grandfather would not be with us and I would not have a child. That just goes to show that we have no control over what God has planned for our lives. Yesterday my grandfather spent Thanksgiving with our precious baby boy that we thought we would never have. Not only was my grandfather there he was doing and looking so much better then he has in months! We have always had so much in our family to be grateful for, but none of us would have ever guessed just how special this year would be! God's plans are so much greater than anything we could plan for ourselves and I am so thankful for all he has given me.

Update and Baby Dedication

Today was Baby Dedication at our church. Henry and his sweet little cousin, Audrey, were dedicated. Henry did so well. He really enjoyed looking at the lights and trying to talk. He is getting such a sweet personality! He loves to smile. In fact, he smiled at me the whole way to church this morning. Stephen could hardly drive because he was watching the little mirror we have over Henry's car seat and laughing.

Since it has been a while since I have posted, here is a quick update. Henry had his 2 month check up on November 14th. He is now up to 13 pounds!! Our pediatrician couldn't believe it! Henry is in the 25% on both height and head circumference but 75% on weight!! Needless to say, Henry has some good kissin' cheeks!!
